Peter Connelly graduated from New York University’s film program in 1993 and lives in Gent, Belgium. Until 2006, he worked mostly in the film sector, repeatedly with directors Marcell Iványi, Felix Van Groeningen, Pieter De Buysser, Sarah Vanagt, and Alexis Destoop. From 2007 onwards, he began working in the performing arts as well, with artists such as Eszter Salamon, Ula Sickle, Heike Langsdorf, Philippe Blanchard, Alix Eynaudi, Diederik Peeters, Tristero, Dora Garcia, and Superamas. His work has been part of productions presented at prominent film festivals, theaters, art galleries, and other venues around the world including the Palme d’or in Cannes, the Berlinale, Brussels International Film Festival, Locarno International Film festival, the Tate Modern, Festival de Sevilla, Newport International Film Festival, Festival du film Ethnographique in London, Planet in Focus in Toronto, Theatre Festival d'Avignon, Beirut International Documentary Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Noorlandsoperan and Skanesdansteater, Sweden, La Villette in Paris, Kaai, Vooruit, Beurschouwberg, and Buda in Belgium.
