Coming from a farming background, I have a passion for all things farming based, with experience in the tillage and livestock sectors. I am a trainee agronomist with Eurofins Agroscience Services, where I have, and continue to develop my understanding of crop production and all that is involved in the process. I understand the importance of moving with the times and as a result I studied Sustainable Farm Management and Agribusiness in the Wexford campus of South East Technological University. This gave me a platform to gain work experience working in wide range of areas, including a piggery, as a field trial assistant, and in a meat processor. Combined with 6 years as part time staff in Liffey Mills Athy I have gained a strong understanding of the sector, with a keen interest to continue expanding my knowledge
A wide range of skills has been gained through working on my home farm, including livestock skills, both on farm and in-office based, as well as valuable knowledge and skills in the tillage sector, through crop management, machinery maintenance, and crop management recording.
