I work at the intersection of global institutional capital and the Saudi real estate market, translating between two worlds to create a common lexicon. Three decades of experience across Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds, AXA, BentallGreenOak, Round Hill Capital, and most recently as Senior Executive Director and Head of Asset Management at the Qiddiya giga-project. Multi-billion-dollar portfolios managed across Saudi Arabia, the UK, Europe, the US and Asia — spanning office, residential, entertainment, retail, student housing, logistics, hospitality and mixed-use development. An MBA in Finance from the Wharton School; a BA in Urban Studies from UC Berkeley. I do not claim to be a Saudi market expert after less than a year on the ground. However, I offer something more useful to GPs at this stage: the perspective of decades spent underwriting and managing deals the “Morgan Stanley way,” and now applying those lessons while living and working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. That combination is where the real value lies. I help fund sponsors and general partners read the Saudi opportunity through a lens they already trust; I translate local market dynamics, regulatory reform, partner selection and deal structures into terms that hold up to institutional diligence. Having sat on the fiduciary side of the table, the side that owns the assets and reports to investors, I understand what gives capital providers genuine confidence: credible, hands-on stewardship and disciplined reporting, not just sourcing and structuring. I also advise family offices on asset management strategies for their existing international real estate portfolios, drawing on years of direct operating experience across many US, European and Asian markets. As a member of the Management Committee, led asset management for one of the world’s largest master-planned new cities, a Vision 2030 flagship for sports, entertainment and culture. • Built and oversaw the asset management team for a multi-asset entertainment portfolio (theme parks, hospitality, cultural and sports venues) within a city designed for 500,000 residents. • Established governance, operating and reporting frameworks for assets transitioning from development into operations. • Partnered across development, commercial and operating teams to align asset performance with long-term master-plan targets.
Oversaw €2bn of European and US residential real estate (multifamily, PBSA, senior living) across JVs and two commingled funds, leading a team of 10 across nine countries. • Drove record occupancy and portfolio-high rental income across a 5,262-unit, 153-property Finnish residential portfolio through active leasing and repositioning. • Lifted occupancy and average weekly rents across a seven-asset, 1,600-bed UK student housing portfolio. • Executed value-add and capex programs across a 1,000-unit US multifamily portfolio and a 60,000 sqm French logistics portfolio.
Independent real estate capital advisory — JV equity, GP finance, co-investment and debt placement across senior, bridge, mezzanine and pref equity. • Advised on cross-border capital mandates across the UK, US, Europe and Canada, drawing on a global network of developers, funds, family offices and lenders. • Structured and introduced programmatic JV and co-investment partnerships for residential and commercial sponsors.
Founded a London-based investor/advisor focused on core-plus office and last-mile logistics in major European markets. • Built the platform and team end-to-end, targeting capital-preserving, off-market acquisitions with active repositioning upside.
Acquisitions and asset management for GreenOak’s Spanish value-add funds (Fund I and European Fund II), focused on Madrid and Barcelona. • Sourced, structured and managed 1.5M sq ft of Class A office across Madrid and Barcelona. • Delivered a 500-apartment residential development pipeline in Hospitalet, Barcelona, with local developer partners.
