Led the design of Bottom Hole Assemblies (BHAs), drill bits, and reamers, and spearheaded the adoption of fully automated steerable drilling BHAs. Utilized finite element analysis to predict hole enlargement and optimize drilling dynamics, with findings presented at OTC Asia 2022 and ADIPEC 2021. Regularly updated block partners in joint-venture meetings, providing clear progress reports, addressing potential challenges, and outlining upcoming milestones.
Digitized well operations and data by implementing advanced machine learning techniques, optimizing drilling parameters and achieving a 50%+ increase in ROP in some cases. This work, along with ongoing improvements, was published and presented at ADIPEC 2019, IPTC 2021, OTC Asia 2022, and OMAE 2022. Managed international joint-venture operations, benchmarking over 100 partner wells and investigating major NPT incidents while sharing best practices for stuck pipe prevention and tubular selection for water injection. Served as Iraq well risk coordinator, overseeing project risk assessments, mitigation actions, and analyzing HSE performance to produce monthly reports and lessons learned from incidents. Conducted site visits and provided training for local staff in Iraq operations.
