With over 25 years of experience in claims handling application development, I have navigated the full spectrum—from in-house solutions to implementing industry-leading platforms for Personal, Commercial, and London Market lines. My strength lies in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring that every solution aligns with strategic goals and delivers tangible value. Throughout my career, I’ve successfully led cross-functional teams, pursued the modernisation and digitalisation of processes, managed system integrations, and collaborated with key stakeholders at all levels—from directors to end users. I take pride in fostering open communication, building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, and driving projects forward with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach. Some of my key achievements include: - Leading the implementation of Guidewire ClaimCenter 10, delivering first FNOL within four months. - Managing complex programme delivery of claims migrations, system integrations, and Agile development programs. - Aligning claims technology roadmaps with broader company and digital strategies. - Expanding and managing high-performing teams while optimizing resource efficiency. - Overseeing the creation of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment to the AKS cloud. I’m passionate about innovation and optimisation in claims technology and thrive in roles where I can shape strategy, drive efficiency, and create lasting impact.
Software Development Manager, Agile Program Manager within the POIT Framework. Specifically within the Claims Product Team. Program to roll out Guidewire ClaimCenter 10 across the complete business, SME Commercial and Lloyds London Market claims. System integration, design and automation.
Towergate restructured and formed Geo with IT being split out in to the separate business units. Guidewire ClaimCenter went to Geo and so did I!
Work on Guidewire's ClaimCenter platform. Screen design, db design & changes, rules, functions, classes, programming, integration. The title "Senior Business Analyst" couldn't really be more inaccurate! Develop in Java and Guidewire's own G-Script language. Job title change in August 2013 to become Guidewire Analyst. Still doesn't reflect the amount of code and development I do but it's a step in the right direction. Company restructure and re-brand saw me become part of Geo. In Nov 2018 I was included in a TUPE transfer to Arch Insurance Europe.
