I manage student-to-student technology training and develop tech-focused learning materials at UW-Madison, and am also a freelance web designer/developer primarily focused on custom Wordpress sites and custom PHP. I like to help people use technology to improve their skills, do their jobs better, and generally make life a little easier.
I currently run the Software Training for Students program at University of Wisconsin-Madison, which offers student-to-student training and support in a variety of technology skill areas (including Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, web development, media production, general programming and more). Specific duties of the role include managing student employees, developing training content, delivering training workshops, developing/maintaining custom WordPress-based tooling for business processes, and helping guide strategic direction for the program.
Coordinated, developed and delivered face-to-face training on a variety of enterprise and industry-standard software tools and platforms. Managed technology training service. Developed custom online learning materials for public and private audiences. Created and edited graphics, production audio, developed managed web presence, and supported a variety of other technology needs.
Performed software quality assurance and edited technical documentation.
