Tierra Group joined BBA Consultants in July 2025 as part of BBA’s efforts to expand their reach in the U.S. and Latin American mining markets. Tierra Group’s expertise in tailings management, heap leach design, and water management will be used as a platform to introduce BBA’s core competencies in the mining industry, including electrical engineering, automation and controls, mine planning, 43-101 and SK-1300 studies, etc. Tierra Group International, Ltd. (Tierra Group) was founded in January 2012, as a small, team-oriented, client-focused, civil, geotechnical, and water resources engineering consulting company employing Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental, Geological, and Water Resources Engineers. Tierra Group/BBA maintains offices in Lakewood (CO), Salt Lake City (UT), Elko (NV), and Lima, Peru. Tierra Group is primarily focused on providing engineering consulting services to the mining industry in the western United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.

Principal Engineer overseeing business operations, business development, and project execution for small engineering consulting company. Services include civil, geotechnical, and water resources engineering services primarily for the mining industry.
Intermountain West Regional Manager for Tetra Tech's mining practice. Oversaw offices in Boise, Elko, Grand Junction, Reno, Salt Lake City, and Tucson. Provided technical oversight and project management for water resources-related and mine waste containment projects in the mining industry, including heap leach pad design, tailings dam design, waste rock dump design, and facility closure planning and design.
Managed Nevada operations (personnel, business, technical) for the Vector group of companies. Provided senior level oversight of design and construction projects for the mining industry as well as environmental compliance, permitting, and closure planning.
