• Assisting the Principal Contractor to achieve its HSE goals in the completion stage of the project. •Works include Commissioning, Turbine modifications, District Heating installation, Outage Maintenance and control of Contractors with associated Audits and Inspections.
• Site H&S Advisor for the demolishment & remediation for an area of the chemical plant. • Undertaking site inspections & audits ensuring timely close-outs to provide statutory compliance and inputting information into site files.
• Taking a leading role in Investigations into Accidents, Incidents & Near Misses to include recommendations going forward with tracking of suitable close-outs. • Communicating with relevant government bodies to include HSE & Environment Agency. • Full appraisal of the site Training requirements and ensuring any gaps in competencies are effectively completed. • Management of the site Monthly HSE Meeting and Reporting Strategies. • Full updates to the COSHH Database to ensure latest requirements are complied with. • Contacting external companies to ensure statutory obligations are met to include Occupational Health Checks, Fire Risk Assessments & Air/Dust Monitoring Surveillance. • Ensuring correct PPE is suitable, sufficient and available. • Weekly site safety walks with Clients’ Representative’s to include logging of issues and timely rectification. • Compilation of Construction Phase Plans for major outage maintenance programs. • Conducting appraisals to ensure Company Policies & Procedures are being effectively managed such as Legionella & Vibration Regulatory compliance. • Undertaking pre-qualification checks on new contractors to ensure due diligence compliance and maintaining an approved suppliers list.
