The ARD represents the common interests of Germany's nine regional broadcasters as a joint organisation. The ARD General Secretariat in Berlin reports directly to ARD's Chairperson. At the General Secretariat, I was tasked with strengthening ARD's reputation and advocating its societal role, positions, and achievements to a broad range of stakeholders. This involved self-driven building of relationships with government officials, media, telco/tech industry leaders, associations, and societal groups, proactively facilitating dialogue on ARD positions and achievements.
