I started experimenting with social media at the tender age of 8. Back then, blogs were the rage and I wanted one to fit in. Later, while my peers got disinterested with updating everyone what they had for lunch and what time they reached home, I continued talking to myself, hopping on new social media platforms that popped up every few years. I was an early adopter or Facebook and Instagram, starting my accounts in 2007 and 2011 respectively. Gradually, I built up an audience and monetised my social media platforms from 2011 — all in the name of fun and earning some pocket money. With my self-taught knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), I crafted articles that appeared on the first page of Google for various clients. Little did I know then that social media would become a viable career as I age, and one that I would dabble in. With 8 years of experience in social media marketing and content creation, coupled with 15 years in the blogging/influencer industry, I can safely say that I have tried my hand at almost every aspect of the digital marketing industry. I am deeply connected to the art of content creation, and I aspire to tell stories that speaks to the next generation through social media and digital mediums.
