Co-chaired the committee that established General Principles for guiding the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The committee comprised members from leading universities, industry, and non-profits globally. The publication of these principles in "Ethically Aligned Design First Edition" (2016), influenced AI regulations in multiple countries and created the foundation for the ongoing development of the IEEE 7000 series of AI standards.
