- Support the fragance production lines by applying Lean / TPM methodology, plus lead the industrialization of new products. - Manage and develop the process engineers and initiative technicians (around 10 people). - Lead system implementation and improvement, including creating and applying Lean / AM standards (CIL, datum, changeover - SMED, setting calculation, 5S, Problem Solving, etc.) - Production line team training programs - Definition and leadership of the initative process (new product launches). - Coordination of other support departments (HS&E, QA, Packaging Improvement, Operational Excellence, etc.)
- Management of 3-shift support to 10 fragrance packing lines, including breakdown cover and improvement projects. - Continuous improvement: use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to eliminate losses (changeover time, unplanned downtime, etc). - PLC software change management. - Development of training packages for automated packing lines for operators, electricians and process engineers. - Computer vision systems owner: create and validate standards to ensure quality in packing lines and training of process engineers and technicians. - Site Grey Market Scanning owner. - Packing Area Sustainability owner.
Lead cartoning process engineer: - Reduction of machine unplanned downtime and stops. - Creation and improvement of operational standards, such as machine set-up, maintenance or changeover procedure. - Development of cartoning operator capability. Intern and process engineer onboarding leader: - Direct manager of interns, defining goals and giving weekly direction and coaching. - Development of process engineer onboarding program. - In charge of new process engineers during their first two months of employment. - Key player in recruitment process, attending career fairs and interviewing candidates.
Process Engineer role: - Improvement of loss measurement systems and reports. - Six-Sigma Black Belt project on chemical losses reduction. - Responsible for quality and process in 1 metre coater, driving quality improvements, new product and process introduction and keeping the process under control, reducing variation and solving daily issues.
