No need to hurry. No need to sparkle. No need to be anybody but oneself. It took me a long time to distinguish between "what I truly want to do" and "what I seem supposed to do." The motivations for these come from "I like it" and "I must appear excellent," respectively. For the former, it doesn’t matter if others know or not; as long as I find joy and live happily, it’s a free expression of myself to the world. The latter, however, requires outstanding results and recognition; it’s more or less a vanity that projects others' expectations and admiration back onto oneself, and the pleasure from it is often fleeting and only at the point of achievement. In this secular world, perhaps the latter is also necessary. I just hope to gradually do more of the former. To freely express myself to the world, after all, we only live once. 君子苟能无解其五藏，无擢其聪明，尸居而龙见，渊默而雷声，神动而天随，从容无为而万物炊累焉。
