Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal
I received my Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2015 from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, having complemented my academic studies with a post graduation in Project Management. With a background in hydro power plant BOP design while working at Efacec, I moved onto speacilized studies at EDP Labelec from 2020 in the Department of Technical Studies, and since 2022 to present day at Siemens PTI.
The Spain and Portugal PTI team provides power system consulting services, with a focus on industrial design, power transmission and generation and renewable integration in microgrids, with a focus on BESS systems. The team is focused on: - Power system modeling and grid consulting data. - Grid analysis and design. - System interconnection and grid code compliance. - System dynamics and transients. - Protection coordination and selectivity. - Power quality analysis.
The technical studies department of EDP Labelec’s Energy Consulting Services, partake in two core activities. Firstly it provides consulting services on several design studies, such as: short-circuit evaluation; integration of renewable plants on the electrical grid; incident analysis for stationary and transient phenomena in the electrical grid; ground grid design; insulation coordination; lightning protection; electromagnetic field evaluation. Lastly, it is also associated with several innovation projects associated with power systems.
Integrated in the hydro power plant project division of Efacec Engenharia e Sistemas, SA, the main activities deal with Balance of Plant (BoP) design, including carrying out design studies (short-circuit, substation busbar sizing and electrical protection coordination and selectivity studies, among others) as well as the specification of all major high voltage equipment.
