As an associate scientist II at Elephas Biosciences Corporation, I am able to contribute to the company's mission of improving the lives of those affected by cancer by spending my days in the lab, processing samples and completing necessary assays to help generate data. Furthermore, I am able to offer supplemental help to our scientific communications team outside of my daily lab tasks. The exposure to the scientific and medical writing world inspired me to enroll in the Medical Writing and Editing certificate program through the University of Chicago. For me, it is important to understand the scientific part of the work I do, but it is also a beneficial skill to communicate these findings in papers, posters, and other publications to further our knowledge of cancer and our ability to fight this disease.
