I blew the whistle on Europe's largest corporate fraud, Wirecard. €24 billion in market value erased, executives on trial, some jailed and the COO now one of Europe's most wanted fugitives, exposed as a long-term GRU operative living under FSB protection in Moscow. The fallout triggered regulatory reform across Europe, from whistleblower protections to payments oversight. I received the ACFE Cliff Robertson Sentinel Award 2022 (inscribed "For Choosing Truth Over Self") and the Blueprint for Free Speech Award 2021. My story is in the critically acclaimed Sky Studios documentary "Wirecard: A Billion Euro Lie". 15+ years in financial services and fintech, from Magic Circle law firms to General Counsel roles across Asia Pacific. I saw from within how companies scale, how they collapse and the cost of silence and inaction. Since 2021 I've delivered 75+ keynotes for audiences including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, UK House of Lords, Journal House, Deloitte Community of Chairs, Deutsche Telekom and Allianz. Beyond keynotes, I work with boards and executive teams on governance design, ethics, early risk detection, crisis response and speak-up cultures that actually work. Now I'm building Confide Platform — the governance, risk and compliance software everyone wishes existed.
The Confide Platform offers a complete workflow and case management system that consolidates whistleblowing, grievances handling, conflicts of interest management, AI Governance and other high stakes compliance workflows into one intuitive software interface.
As Chief Legal Officer, I was responsible for all legal and compliance matters across the group outside of Thailand. - Hired the group’s Head of Risk & Compliance and grew the team from 0 to 30 members. - Scaled the business with fellow C-Suites from 40 employees to over 450 through Series A and Series B rounds. - Led licensing applications in multiple jurisdictions. Zipmex fell victim to the crypto crashes that dominoed through the industry in 2022 and collapsed into insolvency.
Contracted by BigPay, AirAsia's superapp, to oversee the licensing application process for a Major Payment Institution licence under the new Payment Services Act 2019 in Singapore, which was successfully awarded to the company in January 2020.
Contracted by Wise as its first Asia-Pacific counsel to lead payments and licence applications for the group in Australia, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Hired by Wirecard as its first Head of Legal for Asia-Pacific region covering 11 markets in the region.
