I lead communications with a clear view of what the function should achieve at its best: shaping reputation, sharpening strategic narrative and helping organisations communicate with authority in complex, fast-moving environments. My career has spanned global businesses and challenger brands across energy, financial services, enterprise software and telecommunications. Across those sectors, I have built and led corporate and marketing communications programmes designed not simply to raise visibility, but to support growth, strengthen trust and align communications more closely with business priorities. I bring a combination of strategic judgement, strong editorial instinct and hands-on leadership. I am at my best where complexity, transformation and stakeholder scrutiny meet, helping organisations articulate who they are, what they stand for and why that matters to the audiences that matter most. My work typically sits across: * Corporate and marketing communications strategy * Executive and leadership communications * Narrative, messaging and positioning * Integrated campaigns and multi-channel content * Reputation, stakeholder and change communications * Team leadership, mentoring and capability building Originally trained as a journalist and editor, I learned early how to find the story, strip away noise and make complex information clear, relevant and engaging. That editorial discipline still underpins how I work today. I have always believed communications should have a seat at the leadership table. Not as a service function, but as a strategic discipline that helps organisations navigate change, build confidence and create commercial advantage. I am also deeply interested in how AI and automation are reshaping communications, business and society, and I actively contribute to that conversation through speaking, writing and podcast appearances. I value clarity, sound judgement, high standards and work that has real purpose behind it. I care about helping leaders communicate more effectively, helping teams do their best work and ensuring communications delivers meaningful impact, not just activity.
