As the Head of Operational Resilience, I led the AA in the response to COVID19 since January 2020. Chairing the discussions and decisions needed by the Crisis Management Team and the Emergency Response Team to ensure that the business services of the AA were not impacted by the lockdown restrictions. I managed the movement of 3000 contact centre staff from the Office to full home working (with full voice capability). Balancing the requirements of the business to deliver critical business services 24/7 at the side of the road and the regulated services from home with the external scrutiny of the FCA and the constantly changing restrictions from the Government. Also fully implemented the new FCA operational resilience policy changes during the same period.
