Global Business Solutions is a Service Organisation within General Mills for the company. They provide Solutions Development, Business Services, Global Workplace solutions, Technology solutions and Continuous Improvement. In this role I am the Global Business Solutions Leader and act as Regional Solution Manager for IT systems and Right Work Right Place projects in Europe & Australasia. This involves being the single point of contact for business users in the region for all functions. (eg Finance, Demand & Supply Chain) for IT systems solutions. I work with functional clients and bring GBS portfolio of technology, process and workplace capabilities to improve internal General Mills processes. I am required to do this through an in-depth understanding of clients needs and applying GBS capabilities to drive value creation. My team (geographically dispersed around Europe & Australia) also ensure that business users continue to realise value from installed systems through providing second level support & training. I also have dotted line responsibility for Infrastructure in the Region. Key Responsibilities: Partner with the business to develop strategy and long range plans. Business Support: End user support Training: Education and Documentation Local Applications Business Requirements Definition and Planning Work as a Regional Solution Manager by partnering with the European region to understand business challenges – SAP ERP, SAP BW, SAP Business Objects & Non SAP Helping to define expected Business Value and Benefits Prioritising requests for IS resource at a regional level and contribute to the International prioritisation process. Partner with the business and IT Departments to implement through effective Project Management Work with the business to determine long term requirements and integrate into the IT long range plan strategy.
