I thrive in environments where the stakes are high, the goals are clear, and the commitment to excellence is non-negotiable. My purpose is to help organisations strengthen their HSEQ foundations, elevate performance, and deliver sustainable value through integrity, leadership, and innovation. I am a professionally recognised QHSE management consultant with over 20 years of strategic and operational experience. I specialise in leading complex and high-challenge projects, focusing on developing teams and management capability through visible leadership, coaching, and a strong emphasis on safety culture transformation and digital integration. My background spans HSEQ, Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), Business Continuity (ISO 22301), Information Security (ISO 27001), and Audit & Assurance. I have successfully guided organisations, business units, and major contracts to embed compliance, strengthen assurance, and align operational culture with strategic goals. Colleagues and industry peers often describe my approach as pragmatic and purpose-driven, with an ability to simplify complexity and achieve tangible, sustainable results. Having worked across a wide range of industries—design, construction, power, utilities, mining, finance, manufacturing, sustainable development, real estate, transport, aviation, and fire rescue services—I bring both depth and adaptability to every engagement. My expertise in Emergency Response and Crisis Management has also been instrumental in helping organisations maintain resilience and composure in high-pressure situations. To date, I have contributed to more than 100 international projects with a combined value exceeding USD 1.5 trillion. My professional achievements include receiving the NEOM HSEQ Projects Award in 2023 for excellence in HSEQ and Welfare Audit Assurance, and the Pulse Trust Award from Serco in 2024 for exceptional leadership in remote contract execution.
I act as a strategic advisor to CEOs and Executive Committees, building and governing a QHSE platform that protects enterprise value, reduces operational volatility, and strengthens regulatory confidence across the operating companies through improved governance and compliance. As Head of QHSE, I take direct ownership of material legal, operational, and reputational risk, focusing on measurable outcomes rather than activity. My work converts fragmented HSE functions into disciplined operational assurance units delivering fewer incidents, stronger controls, improved audit performance, and clear executive visibility of risk, resulting in safer, more predictable, and more investable operations.
I manage and deliver the operational assurance programme, working closely with Serco Contract Managers and their teams to ensure operational readiness, resilience, and compliance. I identify and mitigate risks across legal, process, and operational domains, while ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services. I lead initiatives aimed at optimising operational efficiency, protecting Serco’s reputation for excellence in the Middle East, and fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key achievements include the following: • Established and implemented a comprehensive operational assurance strategy aligned with Serco’s business objectives. • Monitored and ensured compliance with regulatory, procedural, and policy requirements. • Provided actionable insights to enhance executive decision-making and drive performance improvements. • Identified and addressed process inefficiencies, embedding a culture of continuous improvement. • Introduced industry-leading solutions to optimise operational excellence. • Built and maintained strong relationships with key stakeholders to support operational success. • Led and mentored operational teams to drive enhanced performance and accountability. • Collaborated with HSE teams to promote safe working practices and uphold safety standards across the organisation.
My role was to lead and manage the Serco team as part of the consultancy group supporting the NEOM Projects SHEQ Corporate Department. I oversaw a team of 19 Subject Matter Experts, providing strategic direction, logistical coordination, and operational oversight to strengthen contractor management, client engagement, and assurance delivery across one of the world’s largest and most complex development programmes.
Successfully led the Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Quality, and Worker Welfare audit and assurance processes for the NEOM Projects construction programme. Key achievements include the following: • Designed, developed, and implemented a comprehensive HSEQ, Security, and Worker Welfare audit framework across all nine NEOM regions within the Projects Sector. • Appointed as Lead Auditor for HSEQ, Security, and Worker Welfare. • Appointed as Independent Lead Incident Investigator. • Received the NEOM HSEQ Enterprise Award in recognition of embodying and promoting NEOM’s values, and for serving as a passionate and driven ambassador.
I led the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the SSH Integrated Management System, certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001, establishing a robust risk and compliance governance framework across SSH’s operations in Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and South Africa. I also designed and implemented a complex operational risk programme during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring business continuity, workforce safety, and operational resilience across all projects. The Construction Division, managing a portfolio of over 100 projects valued in excess of USD 4.5 billion across the GCC, benefited from a strong culture of operational leadership underpinned by risk-based quality and safety standards. I maintained a hands-on leadership approach to ensure consistent adherence to these standards across all projects. Key achievements include the following: • Successfully implemented a complex operational risk programme during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring business continuity and safety. • Recognised with two promotions within two years in recognition of exceptional performance and leadership. • Embedded a culture of operational excellence focused on risk-based quality and safety. • Led by example through a hands-on leadership approach, upholding high standards of quality and safety across all projects.
