Dr. Paul Stirpe is the Chief Technology Officer at Financial Fabric, a Big Data and Machine Learning company providing DataHub technology services to hedge funds, asset managers, wealth managers, institutional investors, broker-dealers and other financial services organizations. Dr. Stirpe is responsible for the infrastructure architecture, security architecture and operational processes for the Financial Fabric DataHub platform, which is built using Microsoft data platforms, proprietary data models and analytics, and combines traditional big data and machine learning technologies to solve different classes of data and analytical problems. The Financial Fabric DataHub is deployed on Microsoft Azure using IaaS and PaaS platforms and provides scalable, resilient, and highly secure services utilizing multi-factor authentication, encryption of data at rest and field level encryptions. Dr. Stirpe leads the platform and services development, and operations management of the Financial Fabric DataHub services. He is an expert on building highly secure, resilient, disaster recovery global systems, and has successfully enabled Financial Services platforms and services on the Cloud while meeting stringent industry compliance requirements. Dr. Paul Stirpe obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Boston University in 1992. He has held numerous professional positions over the past twenty nine years including Researcher at IBM T.J. Watson Research Centre, Reuters, Professor of Computer Science at NYIT, and various IT and security advisement positions in the financial services industry including Reuters, Credit Suisse, Wolters Kluwer, and Bunge Corporation. He has authored numerous patents and research papers, and frequently appears on television and in print. Dr. Stirpe lead the security consultancy Stratta Group focused on providing expert security technology advisement and solutions, and is Cyber Security advisor to the New York Institute of Technology.
