Paul Stewart and Paul Sweeney, who have been partners in private equity investing since 1990, formed PS Capital Partners, LLC to focus on an emerging underserved market niche. The objective of PS Capital Partners is the execution of a buy, build, and hold investment strategy targeting smaller-sized basic manufacturing businesses ($5 to $25 million in purchase price) in Wisconsin and the surrounding states. With access to patient capital, PS Capital Partners has the ability to partner with management teams in the development and implementation of long-term conservative growth strategies for their businesses. Before forming PS Capital, Mr. Stewart was one of three partners of Horizon Partners. Prior to joining Horizon in 1990, he was vice president in the venture capital subsidiary of Republic Bank, which was acquired by NationsBank (now Bank of America). Mr. Stewart currently serves on the boards of the PS Capital Partners portfolio (www.pscapitalpartners.com) and Thrombolex. Mr Stewart is a member and former Chairman of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG is an international organization comprised of over 50 chapters and 14,000 plus professionals involved in various aspects of corporate growth) and currently serves on the Past Presidents Council of the Wisconsin Chapter (ACG WI). Mr. Stewart serves on the Commercialization Advisory Board for the Medical College of Wisconsin and is a past Trustee for The State of Wisconsin Investment Board (oversight of public employee retirement assets in excess of $100 billion). Mr. Stewart received his bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982 and a master's degree of business administration, with a finance concentration summa cum laude from Texas A & M University in 1984. In addition, Mr. Stewart completed the 13th Annual Venture Capital Institute Seminar in 1987 and served as an Adjunct Professor, Bostrom Entrepreneur-in-Residence, for the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee from 2001 to 2021.
