I led a team of 30 professionals responsible for supporting the largest Engineering team in the GSK Network, in order to: - deploy Operational Excellence and the GSK Production System to increase a focus on daily performance management at all levels of the organisation - monitor and actively manage EHS and Quality Compliance - oversee Risk Management - manage training curricula and monitor adherence to training plans - Develop the departmental strategy as well as deployment of the Belgium Engineering roadmap and ongoing performance management As a Project Management Professional I also led: - a 25m GBP Capital Project to oversee hardware and software obsolescence management of IT infrastructure across the 3 Global R&D Sites with the aim of protecting the network and Intellectual Property from viral attack and Malware - the Belgium Engineering Transformation involving organisational review of teams totalling 1000 headcount with a view to consolidation of activities and expertise in central or local teams to improve management of the Engineering organisation’s High Severity Risks
I led a team of 150 R&D Lab Operations professionals during the early months of the COVID-19 crisis to ensure business continuity and effective crisis management, while also setting up laboratory testing facilities in support of the Federal programme for COVID-19 sample testing. During that time we also maintained a continual focus on the business improvement programme, CAPEX projects, Safety, Risk Management and Financial Management.
