About

In 2010 I founded Alquity, a leading Responsible investment business, that has changed how people think about investment forever. Alquity is the new model of investment management. We deliver attractive returns, through responsible investment and then donate a minimum of 10% of our revenue back to the poorest in the communities within which we invest. In this way we help build up the communities we invest in which in turn helps drive our investments.

The One Foundation is a UK registered charity, working with communities in Africa to address the most pressing humanitarian needs, such as clean drinking water, nutrition and sanitation. The vast majority of donations come from The Global Ethics Group, and its innovative ethical business approach – selling products and services to market where the profits are used to fund like-for-like projects, eg. profits from bottled water sales for innovative water projects, such as Playpump® water systems, profits from toilet roll and soap sales fund sanitation products. We aim to focus our efforts where the need is greatest and where we can have the most impact; to positively change lives in some of the poorest communities in Africa by providing some of the basics: To-date, The One Foundation has raised £5m and changed the lives of well over a million people: 600+ PlayPumps installed, giving free, clean water to over a million African school children 4,000+ people benefit from vegetable gardens 12,000+ people have been tested for HIV and counselled 1,000+ children in Malawi have improved sanitation.
