With 35 years of experience in the electrical industry and over 15 years in management, I have built a successful career through a hands-on approach, starting as a time-served electrician and working my way up through the management structure. Over the years, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise, particularly in the renewable energy sector, with over 10 years of experience and more than 5 years focused on battery storage solutions. Having worked nationally alongside multiple Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), I’ve developed a deep understanding of the industry's technical and regulatory landscape. This extensive background allows me to lead with both technical proficiency and strategic insight, providing valuable leadership in managing complex projects and driving innovations within the electrical and renewable energy sectors.

Project Manage for Smith Brothers Contracting Ltd on a 132kV/ 45MW Solar Scheme in the WPD area. From Tower to 33kV Switchboard inclusive. Also completed a 132kV/ 40MW Battery Storage Scheme to be used in FFR and Merchant Trading in UKPN region. Successfully managed the full turnkey project from Contestable works to BoP equipment. Previously with ESM Power managing various schemes for the electrical utilities market and Private Networks. Direct liaison with the DNO, iDNO and client for grid connections. Qualified as an AP to carry out LV Switching for ESM Power, ESPE (iDNO) and Leep Utilities (iDNO). Previously overseeing complete electrical install on private Hospital in Surrey. 6 new state of the art theatres and recovery areas. IPS/ UPS systems, standby supplies and specialist services. Taken on to complete (successfully), after previous Manager left before finishing project. Prior to that, management of all the electrical services install on the £70M R7 project at Kings Cross for Kier Construction- Major Projects. From 12VDC L.E.D automatic lighting control to the 11kV private equipment on the project including some Mechanical packages (BMS, A/C, Insulation and Multi Service Chilled Beam installation).
Overseeing the HV grid connection works and liaison between DNO, ICP and EPC for multiple ground (and roof) mounted solar PV installations to ensure adoption by the Network Operators. DNO liaison with NPG, SPEN, SSE, UKPN & WPD.
