Paul Morrison is a psychiatrist and researcher at The Institute of Psychiatry London. He has completed a number of experimental studies focused on the issue of cannabis and psychosis. At present he works in the BRC-trials unit, which was recently set up at the Institute of Psychiatry. The aim is to advance trials of promising new treatments for major mental illness. Ongoing projects are testing whether molecules which target glutamate and endocannabinoid transmission offer benefits for mentally ill patients. Paul continues to work as a psychiatrist, and treats patients at The Maudsley Hospital in London.
