Experienced Controls Engineer with a strong background in troubleshooting, control architecture design, programming, and project management. Responsible for multiple manufacturing plants where I support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, troubleshooting and improvement of existing equipment, and overall performance improvement of the plant.
Provide technical expertise and direction for control and automation systems. Assist with data acquisition and production network management. Responsible for managing and performing controls related obsolescence projects, as well as providing support to different plants for controls related issues.
- Assist customers with the demonstration and implementation of products/technologies - Improve machine reliability, functionality, and overall equipment lifecycle - Prepare proof-of-concept demos for customers to help design new machines
- Provide support to sales Engineers - Prepare proof-of-concept demos and perform local product launches/marketing activities - Coordinate and expedite resolution of key technical issues for OEM Customers - Provide feedback to and obtain information from corporate business units
Support the installation, start-up, commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial automation control systems. Focused expertise in PLC programming, VFD commissioning and integration, Motion Control applications, and associated industrial networks. Use technical and professional skills in a customer facing role to provide field support for new installations, existing applications, and on-site training on Allen Bradley core products. Along with field support and remote technical support, I also modernize customer automation systems with PLC migration projects. Projects typically include quoting, electrical design, programming and engineering of HMI and PLC Logic, and commissioning of complex automation systems integrated on an industrial network.
