About

Canadian Pioneer in the adaptation of Mindfulness Meditation to Psychotherapy and Health Care: In 1988 I started the first hospital-based Mindfulness Stress Management program in Canada at Toronto General Hospital. Over 1,000 patients participated in the program. In 2008, I founded The Mindfulness Clinic, which offers mindfulness training and psychotherapy online and in downtown Toronto. Outcome data is collected continuously and it confirms that TMC patients benefit significantly, and that the therapy offered at TMC is cost effective for problems like depression, anxiety, and stress. Ratings from over 95,000 therapy sessions and 16,000 patients confirm that almost 4 out 5 of our patients fully recover or significantly improve. This result indicates Strong effectiveness for our team of over Psychologists, Social Workers, and Psychotherapists. I am passionate about making sure that patients can have access to effective psychotherapists. Some therapists are more effective than others. Patient ratings from over 95,000 therapy sessions confirm that our therapists are effective. These ratings help us to catch and fix it when therapy gets off track or is not helping quickly enough. My therapists are effective because we use routine patient feedback to catch problems and fix them. We do this because we do not want any patient to waste their time, money or hope.
