- Manage cockpit and crew resources to deliver safe, timely and comfortable flights for all passengers as the Pilot-in-Command. - Ensure safety and security standards are maintained throughout the flight in compliance with government regulations and company policies. - Communicate effectively with First Officer, cabin crew, ground personnel and air traffic control for the successful completion of every flight.
-Participated in 5 different United Nations missions based in Uganda, Sudan, Tunisia, Jordan and Mali. -Safely operating flights in and out of war-torn countries like Libya, Yemen and South Sudan. -Decision making must be in accordance with host country regulations, Transport Canada, UN and company procedures. -Active in flight planning, ground operations, living arrangements and customer relations as required in overseas operations.
-Gained exposure to commercial airline operations while flying ACMI contracts in Scandinavia.
-Operated into over 30 different bush strips in the interior of Guyana - short, sand, grass, turf, one way in/out. -Accountable for independently estimating variables relating to safety and performance while in remote locations.
-Flew aircrafts on floats, wheels and skis to accommodate a variety of Arctic conditions. -Responsibilities also included ramp work, de-icing, check-in and cargo operations.
