Responsible for the EMEA procurement organisation operating across 39 countries, plus global temporary labour leader $xbn annual spend. Spend categories included IT & Telecom, facilities management, data centre equipment and maintenance, transportation, temporary labour, professional services, real estate, and utilities. Identified opportunity to step change function moving away from transactional cost control to strategic procurement. I implemented a new target operating model, rebuilt and up-skilled team to increase capability and influence. I introduced key language skills to penetrate previously unaddressed markets. Defined and implemented group strategy, policies, and roadmaps covering expense management, category management, supplier relationships, and demand management. Promoted to Senior Director following sustained over-performance, business impact and increased leadership parameters. Moving large scale energy contracts to green sources. Ran global temporary labour tender resulting in new supply arrangement and significant savings.
