Greater Adelaide Area
At Catholic Education I manage the Planning and Development department who are responsible for assisting all Catholic schools in South Australia with their capital developments. The role also entails the management and reporting for all government capital grants received In my previous roles as a Business Manager I was responsible for the management of all the non-educational aspects of the Colleges, including IT, Maintenance, WHS and Finance. Besides the management of these areas, there is a considerable focus on the planning and developing of resources to operate in the future. This includes buildings, IT hardware and software and other services/resources that families will require from educational institutions in the future. I have now worked in schools for 22 years and combined with almost 20 years of experience working in manufacturing operations, I have developed the skills to critically analyse what is required, plan for the future and to learn from the past, but not to have it neccessarily direct your future. We must challenge, discuss and think creatively in order to move forward, there is no such thing as a 'silly' idea, the challenge is to explore that idea and see what it might mean for my organisation
