With over three decades of experience in the energy and petrochemical industry, Pat is a seasoned and versatile executive with a passion for driving sustainability and innovation. As a Board Advisor to organisations in the energy industry, she advises and supports the Board of Directors and top executive management to expand economic opportunities to translate business strategies into executable plans that maximize value, drive growth and foster innovation. Pat has held several leadership roles at Sasol and worked on sizable projects with Profit and Loss experience. She has a strong background in business acumen, strategy and portfolio management, business development, commercial and deal making, marketing, project management, governance and compliance. Her deep understanding of the energy sector and enhanced strategic stakeholder relations stems from her extensive international business and technical experience, having worked in Africa, Europe, North America, Middle East and Asia. She is a recognized leader and influencer in the energy sector, having been awarded the Pan African Female Leaders in Energy - Top 50 Power List in 2022 and Project Team of the Year at Sasol, amongst other accolades. Contributing to a sustainable society with advancing innovative solutions and thereby contributing to a livable world of tomorrow is very important to Pat. Her passion for Energy and Sustainability inspires her leadership style to serve. Beyond her executive career, Pat is a passionate advocate for women and youth empowerment in male-dominated sectors. She is the Founder & Director of Lean In Southern Africa Leaders NPC, a platform advancing inclusive leadership, intergenerational exchange, and cross sector dialogue. As a speaker, moderator, connector and creator in the sector, she is passionate about shaping conversations and creating impact on sustainable solutions. She is a mentor and coach to several ventures and organisations. Pat is a chemical engineer with a MBA and a Certified Director of the Institute of Directors South Africa.
