About

I work at the intersection of energy transition, sustainable transport and policy. I have been engaged in the transport energy transition since the early 2000s — long before the topic became mainstream. With more than 25 years of experience from Volvo Group, RISE and since May 2026 IVL I focus on turning complex sustainability challenges into actionable strategies for industry and society. My work focuses on questions such as: • Energy transition realism • The role of alternative fuels vs electrification • EU energy and transport policy • System perspectives on sustainable transport Selected highlights • Chair of the Steering Committee, ETIP Bioenergy (EU Commission initiative) • Former Director Environment and Energy, Volvo Group • Volvo Group spokesperson on environmental and energy related issues • Swedish representative in ISO work on alternative fuels • Project leader for one of Sweden’s first electric road system projects Father, cyclist, paddler, tech nerd, senior advisor at IVL, chair ETIP Bioenergy. Enthusiastic and experienced leader with ability to dive into complex and demanding problems and projects. Deep knowledge and experience when it comes to energy transition, transport and sustainability in general. Expressed opinions are my personal.
