After participating in the reorganization team that enabled the T-Mobile Network Department to converge to a fixed-mobile design and build team I took on the role of Manager Network Deployment. In this role I'm accountable for the Deployment of T-Mobile's Fixed and Mobile access networks. Together with my team and partners we strive to optimize fixed and mobile deployment processes in order to keep our networks up to speed with the ever growing demand of our customers.
In May 2018, after a 6 month ad-interim period I took on the role of Manager Design and Delivery. This management position is characterized by the fact that it is responsible for people management. This job belongs to T-Mobile Netherlands' line positions, entailing that they are primarily (and ultimately) responsible for one or more business units or functional areas. They are responsible for one or more business units or functional areas. They are responsible for the resources and the budget of the disciplines or divisions they manage. Generally speaking, managers achieve the objectives through the team's performance. Key deliverable’s and responsibilities • Drive yearly team roadmap definition and monitor roadmap execution, proactively steer roadmap changes based on business needs • Set Health and Safety standards and audit adherence to quality and environmental standards • Budget accountable for Network Design and Delivery budget • Accountable for Managed Services Provider deliverables • Corporate Energy Management strategy “ Energy Efficiency, Energy reduction initiatives, procurement strategy” • Maintain, optimize and automate Design and Delivery and Site Management processes • Maintain, Optimize and automate the tooling landscape and network inventory databases • Design and life cycle management for RAN and Core (data centre) Infrastructure elements • Maintain relationship with Network sharing partner and secure revenue objectives • Secure revenues from renting own mast space • Secure T-Mobile’s network leadership position in P3 Network benchmark
In 2017 T-Mobile restructured it's site delivery operating model and outsourced the main site delivery processes to a managed service partner. In preparation of these activities I participated in the project team that delivered the operational procedures, contract terms and employee transfer. After the implementation of the outsourcing I took on the role of Sr. Network Outsourcing Delivery Manager. Key deliverable's & Responsibilities • Responsible for the strategic, tactical and operational relationship with Managed Services Provider in order to maximize quality, timeliness and cost efficiency for all deliverables • Define and maintain the Network roadmap of the managed services provider • Act as single point of entry for all operational, contractual and performance matters with the Managed Services Provider • Accountable for Managed Services Provider deliverables: operational contract; Project deliverables; governance process and procedures; performance matters (SLA and (K)PI’s); Manage Governance structure for contract (meetings, escalations…); Budget accountable for Managed Service Provider; • Benchmark Quality and costs for Managed Services Provider services • Maintain and develop Network Delivery processes • Responsible for correct financial forecasting (both internal and external) • Ensure the realization of the results of all deliverables of partner (within quality, time and cost criteria) • Propose measures in and changes to the (mid long term) relationship between T-Mobile and the Managed Services Provider • Risk and escalation management for Managed Services Provider • Maintain and develop contractual frameworks and strategic guidelines driving cost efficiency in site build and contract (re)negotiations • Provide judgment and feed-back to the Technology Management team on the performance of the Managed Services Provider. • Trial and optimize new Network Delivery methods T-Mobile • Drive budget (IPF) process and develop business cases
Next to my role as Service Delivery manager I took on the role of Manager Property & Acquisition ad-interim until the team was outsourced to T-Mobiles managed service partner. Key deliverable's & responsibilities; • Financially responsible for Lease prices as set in the Site Acquisition guidelines, the most cost efficient balance between own staff, in-sourced staff and service contracts with third parties, approval of Purchase Orders Acquisition for third parties. • Responsible for the Regional Site Acquisition process based on the aggregated year plan. • Responsible for managing internal and external of Site Manager Property & Acquisition and the Site Share & Courtesy coordinator. • Supervision, coordination and control of all activities performed by the Site Managers Property & Acquisition and the contractor(s), based on progress, quality, finance and legal aspects • Manage all the HR issues for the direct reports like appraisals, growth and training
• Overall responsible for the revenue assurance process realizing maximum profitability from the network sharing agreement with Tele2 • Responsible for the operational and tactical relationship with network sharing partner ensuring maximum quality, timeliness and cost efficiency for all committed deliverables and related services • Act as single point of entry for all operational ,contractual and performance matters with the network sharing partner • Act as revenue assurance governance body ensuring maximum profitability from the network sharing agreement • Provide internal support to Network Infrastructure department for all network share partner interaction • Maintain and manage with network share partner o operational contract o governance process and procedures o performance matters (SLA and (K)PI’s) • Implement changes to network sharing strategy in line with existing contractual agreements • Delivering key contribution to strategic network sharing initiative between TNML and other licensed operator • Successfully designed and implemented required processes including process governance, tooling and reporting.
• Responsible for T-Mobile’s lager equipment centers (CORE locations) • Successfully started up a new team after a large reorganization. Designed and implemented a lean deployment process, implemented WLA’s with internal customers and construction parties ensuring an effective and efficient use of resources • Responsible for all contractual, legal, civil (re-) engineering’s activities at CORE locations • Responsible for location specific non-telco availability standards & designs (TIER) at CORE locations • Responsible for progress reporting, departmental budget and HR matters (7-8 FTE) • Responsible for combining all telco project demands into a location specific forecast ensuring sufficient non-telco capacity, availability and quality • Successfully designed and implemented reporting and governance structures (financial and progress)
• Responsible for several large scale telecom implementation projects. • Successfully completed Next Generation Backhaul Introduction program; Introducing next generation transport platform in all PLAN/BUILD/RUN processes ensuring most effective & efficient platform utilization • Successfully completed Transmission Implementation Program; enabling TMNL network for HSDPA 7.6 and future network expansions. • Responsible for setting up project plans, targets and budgets / resource calculations • Responsible for creating working level agreements with in/external (subco) parties to ensure project deliverables • Anticipate and react (pro)actively on project issues and/or project scope changes
