About

Throughout my professional journey, I have demonstrated adaptability, an unwavering work ethic, a determination to achieve goals, and the people skills to build authentic relationships. Working with Discount Tire over the course of the past 15+ years, I have held multiple operations management and support positions, developing a track record of top-ranked regional performance, and earning an opportunity to flex into a part-time, purposefully created position as I focused on pursuing studies in IT management. Currently enrolled in an accelerated B.S. in Information Technology to M.S. in IT Management Program through Western Governors University, I am acquiring a solid foundation in information systems and technology. Combining my management background with advanced studies at the graduate level, I am confident of my ability to one day serve as a solid IT Manager and leader of technologists. Currently at the halfway point of my program, I have already completed extensive studies to learn best practices in such areas as systems and services, networking and security, scripting and programming, cloud foundations, project management, web development, UI design data management, and the business of IT. During my journey, I have also learned several credentials including CompTIA A+, ITIL4 Certification, and CompTIA ITTF designations. Seeking to join an organization to contribute in an IT and help desk capacity, I am confident my service-driven approach and IT knowledge could add immediate and sustainable value as I complete the remainder of my academic journey. With my current employer fully aware of my aspirations, they have already provided me with numerous letters of recommendation, excerpts of which include: ❝Pat is an outstanding listener who always takes the time to carefully consider his options before speaking. This thoughtful approach has made him a valuable asset in the workplace, where his ability to weigh different perspectives and make informed decisions has consistently contributed to team success.❞ — Former Colleague ❝I found Pat to be a man of high integrity. He was always honest, fair, and did the right things even when nobody was looking. Pat never ‘demanded’ respect of others. Rather, he always worked hard to earn the respect of his colleagues. He had a good understanding of the business, and did a great job teaching, training, and coaching those around him.❞ — Former Manager
