Director @ Empolis – driving innovation in Industry 4.0, AI, and Knowledge Graphs. With a strong background in Product Ownership, I focus on delivering scalable, efficient software solutions that truly support experts and frontline users. I lead a cross-functional team of 11 direct reports – including project managers, knowledge engineers, backend and frontend developers – and drive strategic initiatives like Empolis Buddy, our AI-based assistant for knowledge-intensive tasks. My work bridges technology, usability, and business value. Previously, I helped scale SaaS and AI solutions at Eurodata – powering core systems in Germany’s tax landscape. My goal: build products that matter, from Germany to the world.
Responsibilities: - Lead and manage 4 product teams comprising 25 members including developers, designers, UX/UI specialists, QA & engineers, team/tech leads, and interns. - Act as Project Manager, Product Owner and Scrum Master, ensuring efficient Agile methodologies and delivery. - Facilitate meetings and discussions, driving scalable solutions with a passion for innovation with our teams, our organisation during talks, but also customers and partners in workshops - Oversee the development and maintenance of web frontends, mobile apps, and desktop apps, available on major app stores. - Manage the development of REST API backends and Frontends using technologies such as VueJS, NextJS, Nuxt, Angular, .NET, C#, UWP, Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, and Typescript. - Utilize Bitbucket Server & Cloud, Jenkins, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence for version control, CI/CD, and project management. - Implement AI integration using ChatGPT, LLama, Gemini, and other open-source solutions for knowledge embedding. - Drive the evolution of our SaaS and PaaS solutions for Knowledge Management Systems. - Leverage expertise in near and offshoring, with a network spanning India, Eastern Europe, and North Africa. - Utilize recruitment experience and product KPI analysis to optimize team performance and product success. Achievements: - Successfully integrated three external teams into Empolis, enhancing collaboration and productivity. - Elevated the performance and perception of one team from average to high-performing within a short timeframe. - Scaling time to market and feature retention rate - Scaling usage of apps and web applications Known for: - Proven experience in team leadership, product management, and Agile methodologies. - Strong technical background with expertise in web and mobile app development. - Proficiency in a variety of programming languages and technologies, including those listed above. - Excellent communication skills and ability to drive change and innovation.
