Reporting directly to the Carrier Group Manager and indirectly to the Carrier Product Management Director, I am responsible for the timely delivery of new products and software to Vodafone Group to meet agreed commercial launch dates. The role depends upon building and maintaining great working relationships internally and externally through trust and clear communication. Internally, I have established rapport with software developers (radio & applications), product managers, technology primes and relevant senior directors, ensuring hardware and software is delivered on time in line with Vodafone’s expectations. Externally, I have established a mutually beneficial relationship with global test leads, proactively driving hardware and software issues, reporting and taking responsibility for pushing issues back into the business and ensuring resolution. I additionally Interface with the Vodafone Global product manager, supporting BlackBerry’s commercial team to sell-in new products, capabilities and technologies. I have ownership of the technical requirements process for all products, making appropriate judgement calls and subsequently negotiating resolutions resulting in commercial agreement. I lead and participate in regular face to face customer meetings and conference call updates, and create and present written reports and presentations, leveraging on my past working experience and reputation.
