Dr. Patrick Blessinger is a global thought leader in curriculum, instruction, learning, assessment, and research. He is the Founder, President, and Chief Research Scientist of the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association, which holds consultative status with the United Nations. His work advances lifelong and lifewide learning, the democratization of knowledge, sustainable development, and education's role in promoting peace, human rights, and planetary well-being. Dr. Blessinger has convened many international conferences and scholarly initiatives to bring together educators, researchers, and institutional leaders from around the world. He is a New York City public school teacher and an education professor at the State University of New York at Old Westbury. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education and the book series, Global Perspectives on Higher Education Development. His honors include Fulbright Senior Scholar, Governor’s Teaching Fellow, and National Geographic Certified Educator.
