About

● IN SUMMARY I have five seasons of experience at the NHL level covering the Winnipeg Jets for NHL.com. My duties included providing concisely written copy on tight deadlines in a variety of formats, including game stories, off-day stories, previews, analytical pieces, and other story types as needed in the fast-paced, intense environment of a Canadian NHL market. Included in my NHL.com tenure was the return of the NHL to the city in 2011, the inaugural 2011-12 season, and the first Stanley Cup Playoff appearance for a Winnipeg club since 1996. From there I have pivoted successfully from a team beat to a league beat, taking over NHL.com's coverage of the American Hockey League, the NHL's top developmental league. In 2021, I became a regular contributor to TheAHL.com, the AHL's official website. In my first season in that role, I provided nearly 200 written pieces (features, profiles, long-form, and more) on a variety of on- and off-ice topics concerning the league. In 2024, I was recruited by FloSports to contribute to its AHL vertical as part of the company's brand-new streaming deal with the league. In addition to my NHL.com experience, I have more than 15 years of experience at several media outlets, including Sportsnet/Rogers Media, TSN, Sun Media, and The Hockey News. Before advancing to the highest levels of the sport, I also gained experience in the Ontario Hockey League and the Double-A level ECHL. ● REPORTING Utilizing a deep base of sources and industry relationships, I have experience breaking news and other stories at several levels of the hockey world. ● WRITING I have written for a variety of top print and online publications in both Canada and the United States, including NHL.com, TheAHL.com , FloHockey, Sportsnet/Rogers Media, TSN, Sun Media, The Hockey News, and more. ● AWARDS I won the 2015-16 James H. Ellery Memorial Award that is presented annually in recognition of "outstanding media coverage of the American Hockey League." ● DIGITAL, RADIO, & TELEVISION I have experience guest co-hosting and as a guest for several media outlets, including NHL Network, SiriusXM, several TSN Radio outlets, and other radio stations across Canada and the United States. I also have served as a commentator and intermission guest with several teams on live game broadcasts. ● SOCIAL MEDIA I have built a following on a number of platforms, including Facebook and Twitter (more than 12,000 followers for breaking news and hockey perspectives).
