As Project Director, Lead efforts for the Quality Improvement Organization for the Commonwealth of Virginia, to promote adoption of electronic health records and information technology in the physician office setting and improve care to underserved populations. Position ended at with the conclusion of CMS contract. Responsible for project P&L, budgeting and strategic planning.
Acting as internal consultant, provided support to faculty practices and departments to ensure the most efficient and effective delivery of medical care. Responsible for administration and management of day-to-day operations for Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center Ambulatory Surgery, Blaustein Pain Treatment Center and Express Testing, including; preparation of annual budgets, identifying and planning capital equipment requirements, developing and monitoring operations standards and key indicators, business planning, financial analyses, performance improvement, JCAHO preparation and staff management.
Oversaw operations, developed and implemented strategic plans for eight primary care medical practices staffed by fourteen physicians, one nurse practitioner, one physician’s assistant and thirty-six support staff. Responsible for P&L at each practice, developed yearly budgets totaling over $10.2 million in revenue and responsible for all operational aspects of each practice.
