In my role as General Counsel at Maryland Paper Company LP/Golden Bear Companies, I am responsible for all legal issues facing the companies. I advised on strategic legal matters, negotiated major contracts, and facilitated international sales. Leading negotiations with leading online retailers and drafting agreements with professional sports franchises contributed to the company's growth and success. I have also assisted with various compliance challenges related to foreign sales and internal company procedures.
As Associate General Counsel at Crown Equipment Corp., I lead litigation strategy for product liability, data privacy, and commercial disputes. I successfully managed a $30M product liability trial, securing a favorable verdict. Currently, I am managing a data privacy class action following a breach of Crown IT by foreign operatives in June 2024 and also assist in ongoing compliance challenges related to Proposition 65.
I was responsible for managing litigation for a multi-segmented, Fortune 500 manufacturer. My highlights included securing multiple jury verdicts across multiple disciplines including product liability, patent matters and commercial litigation. Most notably, this included a $26 million verdict for Oshkosh Defense following a London arbitration against a foreign contractor. In addition, I managed environmental compliance and litigation matters including navigating the PFAS MDL. I regularly briefed key executives on ongoing litigation challenges and continually worked to minimize legal expenses.
While at Watts, I helped direct litigation strategy, managed over 500 active litigations, and oversaw company investigations related to CPSC inquiries. I provided legal guidance to international teams on marketing and regulatory concerns to protect company interests globally. I assisted on multiple class actions. A key highlight included developing a key legal strategy as it related to a company foreign manufacturer that led to multiple summary judgments across the country.
