About

I have more than 20 years of experience in the development of biologically active molecules, natural products (antibiotics) and analytics. I have a PhD in Biological Chemistry with a focus on the isolation and characterisation of antibiotics from unexplored natural sources. As a team leader in pharmaceutical and biotech companies for 10 years, I developed lipid nanoparticles that are now widely used in RNA vaccines. As a research fellow in academia, I worked on antiviral compounds and coordinated several projects in cell biology and cancer research, developing a wealth of new analytical methods. I enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams, solving problems and bringing people together through efficient reporting. Strict adherence to quality control throughout the process has always been key to the reproducibility of my scientific results in ISO certified environments. As a speaker I have represented the team in the scientific community at international symposia. I've recently joined EDQM, where I'm currently working as a scientific editor, ensuring the quality of texts published in the Pharmacopoeia.
