I am a cultural experience guide, DM professional and tour operator, and that's how I understand my job: Philosophy begins in wonder. That's what Socrates said, and that's why I always try to help the people who travel with me discover the astonishing, bewildering and amazing in things, also in things that may seem simple and common. It's like this that a trip becomes a real learning experience, and somehow we are all curious about the world, aren't we? I studied humanities, but I am also fervently interested in nature and even real "mundane" topics like economy ... And if it's about a nice hike, a good meal or a jump into the refreshing wet, please count me in. About 2,500 days of traveling have given me the opportunity to get to know almost all the regions of my home country of choice, Mexico, plus Guatemala and Belize. Unos 2,500 días de viajar me han dado la oportunidad de conocer prácticamente todas las regiones de mi patria adoptiva, México, más Guatemala y Belice. Auch für eine schöne Wanderung, ein gutes Essen oder einen Sprung ins erfrischende Nass bin ich immer zu haben. An um die 2.500 Reisetagen habe ich so gut wie alle Regionen meiner Wahlheimat Mexiko kennengelernt, plus Guatemala und Belize. I help my customers to go "tracking traces, leaving traces" in the Puebla area and throughout Mexico and the Maya World (Guatemala, Belize, Honduras & El Salvador). Since Xokpali Travel is a micro-enterprise, I am personally involved in most of the tasks needed to be able to offer the corresponding highly personalized travel services; the following are only some of those tasks: destination scouting; routing/travel design; multilingual content creation, (web) publishing and marketing; sales: concrete travel planning, costing/pricing and preparation of attractive offers; booking process and collection handling; operations: organization (reservations, etc.) and realization of tours; guiding, interpreting and driving; accounting and tax declarations; building and maintenance of provider, partner and (direct and B-to-B) client relationships. I have served as a German teacher at this official Swiss school abroad, an internationally recognized educational institution, for two school years. I have taught German in all grades of secondary and high school (up to the IB diploma). All of my high school students successfully took the external exams of the International Baccalaureate (IB). I also prepared my students for the external Deutsches Sprachdiplom I (DSD I) exams. I have completed, among several other vocational trainings, the training of the IB Diploma Program “Language ab initio (Cat. 2)” and the “DSD Gold” course, obtaining the "Prüfzertifikat DSD I" ("DSD I examiner certificate").
