Category & Insights Manager at DR. OETKER (UK) LIMITED

About

I completed my degree in BA Management at the University of York, graduating in July 2016 with First Class Honours (with Distinction). In 2015 I finished my industrial placement working for Arla Foods in their brand management team as the Anchor brands marking assistant. I had a passion for working within this brand team and the experience gave me great satisfaction and invaluable learnings from industry leaders. I briefly worked at Kantar Worldpanel as a Category Analyst in the client services Dairy team before starting my role at Dr. Oetker. I’ve spent 5 years in the baking category division and now work within the Frozen category team. Prior to studying at University, I worked in the life assurance industry as an Administrator within Avivas' HBOS department. I credit this experience as being a major catalyst for pursuing a career in a commercial environment and giving me the motivation to push myself throughout my studies. I am perseverant with strong levels of commercial awareness, analytical skills and high levels of interest for consumer behaviour. I love to work as part of a team and have a genuine curiosity to learn from others and apply new ideas to seek out solutions, aiming to exceed expectations and taking great satisfaction from the work I do and the goals I achieve.

  • Category Analyst at Worldpanel by Kantar
    Sep 2016 - Nov 2016 · 3 mos

In September 2016 I started at Kantar Worldpanel working within the client services team (Dairy portfolio accounts). I applied for the role because of my genuine interest in consumer behaviour, FMCG and analysing data to provide insight and trigger action that can be of value to a business. Having worked closely with Kantar whilst on placement, I wanted to strengthen my knowledge further. I realised however that whilst the role provided opportunity, I missed working for a food manufacturer, being closer to the product and consumer and in November 2016, resigned from this role.
