ASSISTANT MANAGER: Coordinate and evaluate the work of the staff engaged in Job Seeker registration, job placement to include job order writing, Food Stamp Employment & Training Activities, Trade Adjustment Act Activities and Employer relations activities. Plans and assigns work and trains current and new staff involved with the above activities. Review new Job Seeker registrations through statistical samples, to insure the Job Seekers are properly registered with the office so that they may receive all available services and following the priority of service rules for Veterans. Review Job Orders through statistical samples to ensure information is complete and accurate. Participate in programmatic reviews to ensure continuous improvements, respond with action plans for improvements. Supervision of services to Career Center Clients. Conduct staff mid-term and annual appraisals. Approve leave, post payroll and submit time charge code sheets. Assist Office Manager with other management duties as required or assigned. Interview and provide services and job referrals to Clients. Conduct employment skills workshops. Post job openings in the labor exchange system, Search for qualified Jobseekers. Solicit job openings on the telephone and in the field. Employer relations.
RESOURCE ROOM COORDINATOR: Assist Career Center customers to accomplish their job-search goals by instructing in the use of the employment Service Registration system as well as locating and registering on other employment related websites. Assist customers to create resumes, fax, copy, print, create-check and maintain email accounts. Coordinate staff to ensure sufficient coverage in the resource room. Supervise and review payroll for 3 participants on the Senior Aide program. Staff Computer Support
WIA SERVICES SUPERVISOR- Supervise staff of 14 in office providing reemployment services to eligible Workforce Investment Act participants. Supervise Reception (1) and Clerical staff (1) Employment Service Representatives (5) engaged in determining eligibility of potential WIA clients; provision of intensive re-employment services such as job development, resume preparation assistance, employment interview counseling, work maturity skills counseling, basic skills testing, employment and training barrier resolution, referrals to supportive services. Supervise (7) Employment Service Representatives in enrollment of eligible customers in employment related training services such as development of employment plans, interest and aptitude testing, identification and documentation of long term employment goals and related training and on the job training. Monthly contacts with participants, plan closures, follow up contacts. Annual and mid term staff appraisals., positive discipline, staff computer support.
