Have worked for approximately 15 years with Tumas group, starting from the Topaz Hotel, later to Bernardi, then to Oracle Casino, and finally Portomaso. Within these 15 years, I was mainly employed in the finance and administration department and this has given me a very good background in accounting and business administration. During these years, IT was gaining good ground, and I soon realised that through the use of computers, business would become more competitive and that is why I assumed responsibility of the IT function in most of the companies mentioned above. During these years, I have studied accounts, and also have studied business and computing. The last 4 years position was that of Assistant Financial Controller at Portomaso, mainly involved in monthly management reports, leading a small team of clerks within the finance and admin department. I was also involved in the preparation of Vat reports and other management reports. During my term of duty, I was also responsible for the upkeep of the IT department, both from a software development point of view and also systems administration. It was a hard decision to leave Tumas group as I was very happy there, however, I wanted a change in career and that is why my next employment was Software development.
