I am a senior majoring in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice and certificates in Legal Studies and Latin and Mexican American Studies. I am a pre-law student aspiring to become an attorney with a strong interest in advocacy and justice. I am actively involved in Moot Court, where I have served on the Executive Board as Secretary and Vice President. I have competed at the pre-national level and received an Oral Advocacy Award, developing strong skills in legal research. I am also a licensed cosmetologist since the age of 17 and have worked as a hairstylist at Ulta Beauty to support myself through college. Balancing my time with work, academics and leadership roles has strengthened my work ethic, time management, and professionalism. I am open to any paralegal roles or legal research roles to further develop legal skills in preparation for law school.
My responsibilities included ensuring that people were informed about how and where to vote. I also collected insights from conversations with voters, helping to refine the campaign’s outreach efforts. This position involved communication and a passion for mobilizing others to engage in the democratic process.
As a Political Campaign Canvasser for Victoria Navea Criado’s Texas State Representative campaign, I engaged directly with voters in the community. I encouraged voter registration and participation, helping to motivate people to vote. I developed strong communication, persuasive skills, and the ability to connect with a diverse range of people.
