Distinguished Professor at the University of Toulouse and currently Director of the French Network on Electrochemical Energy Storage (RS2E) and the National Batteries Research Program (PEPR Batteries, together with H. Burlet, CEA). Research focused on the fundamental understanding of electrochemical processes in materials for energy storage - batteries and supercapacitors - with a special emphasis on electrochemistry under confinement. Published about 300 publications, 16 patents, 12 book chapters, and gave more than 100 invited talks at international conferences. Highly Cited Researcher since 2016. Co-funder with Prof. Christian Masquelier of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion. Lead fundamental research programs including ERC Grants (IONACES 2011, MoMa-STOR2020), and collaborative research with industry (Airbus, Arkema, etc.). Fellow of the French Academy of Sciences, the French Academy of Technology, the European Academy of Sciences, and Academia Europaea, and I serve as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Energy Storage Materials.
