A Southern Baptist Senior Pastor is the primary spiritual leader, responsible for preaching the Gospel, teaching the Bible, providing pastoral care (counseling, weddings, funerals, baptisms), setting vision, overseeing church staff and operations, and leading discipleship and community outreach, all while upholding Baptist doctrine and the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. They are accountable to God, the Deacons, and the congregation, focusing on leading the church in fulfilling the Great Commission.
A Special Education Teacher Assistant (or Paraprofessional) supports students with disabilities and teachers by providing one-on-one or small group instruction, implementing behavior plans, assisting with daily living skills (like toileting, eating), managing classroom materials, documenting student progress, and ensuring student safety in various school settings, all under the direction of a certified teacher. They help make lessons accessible, foster independence, and implement goals from Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Following Lesson Plans: Adhering to the curriculum and lesson plans provided by the regular teacher. Classroom Management: Maintaining a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment. Instruction: Delivering instruction based on lesson plans, including lectures, discussions, and activities. Student Supervision: Supervising students inside and outside the classroom, including in hallways, cafeteria, and playground. Attendance and Records: Recording attendance and maintaining accurate records of student progress. Homework and Assignments: Assigning and explaining homework, and checking it. Communication: Communicating with the regular teacher, students, and parents as needed. Problem-Solving: Addressing student behavior issues and resolving conflicts. Additional Duties: Assisting with non-classroom duties when assigned, such as supervising lunch periods or school events. Flexibility: Adapting to different classroom environments, student needs, and lesson plans.
Instruction: Teaching students of all ages and skill levels to play guitar (electric, acoustic, classical, or bass). Ukulele, Mandolin or Drums. Lesson Planning: Creating and adapting lesson plans to meet individual student needs and learning styles. Progress Assessment: Evaluating student performance, tracking progress, and providing feedback. Motivation: Encouraging and motivating students to practice regularly and achieve their musical goals. Music Theory: Teaching fundamental concepts of music theory, including rhythm, pitch, melody, and harmony. Performance Preparation: Preparing students for performances and recitals. Collaboration: Working with other music instructors and staff. Communication: Communicating with students and parents about progress and any concerns. Positive Learning Environment: Creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Staff Management: Hiring, training, motivating, and developing store staff. This includes providing coaching and support to ensure a positive work environment and high performance. Sales and Performance: Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience. This includes analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making adjustments to meet goals. Financial Management: Monitoring and controlling expenses to maintain profitability, managing budgets, and understanding retail business financials. Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal inventory levels, implementing merchandising strategies, and ensuring that the store is properly stocked and presented. Customer Experience: Ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience for customers. This involves addressing customer concerns, promoting excellent service, and creating a welcoming environment. Operational Efficiency: Overseeing daily operations, including staffing schedules, store maintenance, and compliance with company policies and regulations. Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing store-specific strategies to achieve business objectives and drive growth. Team Leadership: Building a high-performing team by motivating, coaching, and developing leaders. Skills and Qualifications: Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate and manage a team, and experience in a retail or customer-facing environment. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills to interact effectively with staff and customers. Financial Acumen: Understanding of retail business financials, including P&L, budgets, and profit margins. Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to achieve business goals. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges and make informed decisions.
