• Responsible for managing participation & UAV integration work in international robotics research projects • Prototype engineering: Integration of visual-inertial stereo sensor into UAV flight system for autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance together with team • FPGA development of additional features for the 3D visual-inertial sensor on a Xilinx Zynq SoC (VHDL, Xilinx platform studio, 4-8 camera support, FLIR support) • Marketing lead (including web presence, trade show appearance) • Accounting, HR lead • Integration of OpenERP as resource planning tool for 3D visual-inertial sensor production, accounting and human resources. • Skybotix has become part of GoPro in July 2015.
• Development of UAV system
• Evaluation of state estimation and controller system of UAV system • Implementation of revised aerial flight control system, state machine design • Lead architecture definition and development of trajectory generation and control for user-facing aerial auto shot system. Lead of auto shot state machine design and implementation. Close collaboration with product definition team to improve user experience. • Lead architecture definition and development of aerial trajectory generation and control for subject follow based on estimated subject position. Close collaboration with product definition team to improve user experience and safety features during subject follow. • Conception and implementation of aerial cinematic framing controller. • Lead development of aerial simulation environment based on Airsim (Unreal Engine 4) and ROS (Robotic Operating System). Development of high bandwidth TCP communication interface based on ASIO. Implementation of novel aerial controller, trajectory generation module in simulation environment for both manual flight and subject follow. • Participation at launch workshop event as aerial expert including product presentation and workshops
